by Mark Kingsdorf, MBC – Founder, The Queen of Hearts Wedding Consultants
I NEVER thought this day would come; tomorrow my significant other, two cats and our dog all pack up for the long drive to our new home in Orlando.
14 years ago, when I started The Queen of Hearts Wedding Consultants in Bucks County, did one wedding my first year and was marketing by printing introductory letters one at a time on my home computer – I NEVER in my wildest dreams thought there would be a WE, never thought I would have an AMAZING team of people supporting our clients and never saw the notoriety we have earned for our attention to detail and customer service.
As our visibility grew from local planner, one of the first men planning weddings in the Philadelphia region; to a regional planning expert and on to work with The Emily Post Institute on several books, to be featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, Real Simple Weddings and USA. Appearing on Style Networks 'Whose Wedding IS It Anyway?" and HGTV's Ultimate Wedding Guide.
Our team has earned numerous industry awards, awards based on client votes and reviews as well as awards for our design. All of these are humbling and truly mind blowing and we are truly blessed.
Through it all, the one HUGE piece in our love of the business has been the AMAZING relationships we have built. Not only have we had the opportunity to work with the best of the best in Philadelphia weddings; but in addition to these AMAZING wedding professionals, we have been blessed with relationships with wonderful couples and their families.
Being asked to plan weddings for multiple siblings, best friends and in at least on case an entire circle of close friends. It's a blessing for us to show up at a wedding day and have five and six bridesmaids and groomsmen whose weddings we've planned. We love seeing parents and siblings of past coup[les as guests at a current client's wedding.
The Queen of Hearts Wedding Consultants will continue to build relationships and embrace those relationships we have forged over the past decade; mainly because of those relationships; our entire team will remain, several of our talented assistants are growing into roles as Wedding Day Directors and Planners – I'm so excited to see where things go in the future.
I'm blessed to know that my dear friend, talented planner and third generation decorator, Phyllis Jablonowski is leading our team. I know she and I share a similar vision and she will give Queen of Hearts the same love and care I have over the years.
All in all, The Queen of Hearts has been a blessing beyond my wildest dreams. For me, it's all about the relationships. It's ALWAYS been about the relationships. We want to work with people both couples and wedding professionals, who share the love. Who build a great working and often times personal relationship.
I'll not be far from The Queen of Hearts, the internet will keep me close as I'll still be doing some blogging with the team from time to time; and I'll remain close as a resource guiding the team and answering questions.
I can't thank you enough for trusting your weddings and friendship to me and our team. I'm truly blessed to know all of you.
Wishing you the best of Hearts, Health and Happiness.
Mark
