The Rose Garden Ballroom in the Hyatt at the Bellevue was the perfect location for this couples vintage inspired wedding… the ballroom was built in 1904 in the architectural style of the French Renaissance.

Their 1920’s – 1930’s inspired feel included  retro styled invitations and stationery (designed by our own Christina Gargano Lupo), as well as  gowns, linen and floral in soft shades of pink, yellow, sea foam green and grey.

Paired with mercury glass, lots of candles the décor was also studded with books and a vintage card catalog for escort cards as a nod to Ruth and David’s vocation as college professors.

Probably my favorite detail was Ruth’s AMAZING Monique Llhuillier gown in soft pink as well as the beautiful bouquet and accent for the gown

Working with Ruth and David was wonderful as they are so detailed; I love this quote from Ruth email to me from their honeymoon.

I know myself well enough to know that I am not the easiest person in the world to deal with, that my need to manage every little thing to the most extreme detail can make it very hard to do anything for/with me at all. But somehow, you managed to help me so very much to put together the wedding of my dreams and for that I am eternally grateful. Not only did you make sure every little thing was exactly where it should be but you put me at ease through it all and let me (made me) really enjoy myself.

At the end of the day it’s all about the details and the amazing team of professionals we put together…but it’s also about being able to relax and be present for your family and friends.

Never did I think that half way through my wedding I would be dancing to Flo-Rida on a packed dance floor, dropping it like its hot with all of my friends. This was SOOOOO much fun. Everything about the night was perfect. Even in my neurotic brain, there is literally not one thing I would change about the entire evening.

Thanks Ruth and David! We had a wonderful time too!

Special thanks to Adrienne at Robertson's Flowers for the beautiful decor, the team of the Hyatt at the Bellevue, Troy and EBE Paris and especially to Ashley Bartoletti for sharing her beautiful images.
