I’m not even sure where to begin with Maggie and Joe’s wedding. We don't often travel beyond Philadelphia, South Jersey or Delaware for weddings … but, I think Maggie explains it best.
I met Mark in 2008 when he was the consultant/coordinator for my sister's wedding in Philly. I remember meeting him at the union league with my mom and sister and as soon as he left, we all knew he was our guy! My sister's wedding was a total success and even before I was engaged, my mom and i knew that we'd be working with Mark again. Sure enough, I got engaged in February of 2011 and after celebrating for a few days, the first thing we did was call Mark!
It’s been so much fun, I feel like I’ve known them forever. Maggie and Joe were also guests at Sara and Rocky’s wedding last August and danced EVERY DANCE {in Christian Louboutin spikes, Maggie, not Joe!}
Kristin and I spent the weekend in D.C. and really enjoyed time with them and doing some sightseeing as well.
Mark and his team are amazing to work with. I am admittedly a little anal and anxious about everything and Mark made me feel at ease about everything, He is also VERY good at helping to manage the mother/daughter relationship throughout the wedding planning process. Anyone who has ever planned a wedding with their mother knows what I'm referring to… He understood my mom really well and was able to help us work through various points of conflict throughout the process. He even remembered what some of my mom's "hot button" issues were from planning my sister's wedding!
Their wedding in Washington, D.C. was SPECTACULAR – the Museum of Women in the Arts has wonderful galleries for cocktail reception and the marble Grand Hall and stairs are really beautiful for the ceremony and reception.
Beautiful décor of all white floral, including white cherry blossoms, in vintage silver containers were the prefect accent to the space…
The wedding professionals from the D.C. area were amazing and great to work with – be sure to check out the article in D.C’s ‘District Weddings’
We fell in love the images by Stephen Bobb of Love Life Images
One of our favorite parts of the day is their ‘almost first glance” – check out this video clip by Michael Eller of Monachetti Weddings.
Another favorite touch to this wedding was the way they ended the night – guests (and the wedding professionals) were treated to AMAZING Mac and Cheese, by CapMac, a D.C. based macaroni and cheese food truck. {I now stalk them whenever I go to DC}
Thanks so much for allowing us to be party of your day, your families have been amazing to work with…
