I’ve always been a firm believer in this statement – especially where weddings are concerned.

Being a successful wedding planner ONLY looks easy when you surround yourself with AMAZING wedding professionals.

Part of what we do is refer people to wedding professionals who we know are top of the line in what they do for each couple based on their price, product and personality …

HOWEVER, it’s important for us to know that they ‘play nice’ – that when the ‘stuff’ hits the fan ( and occasionally it does) – whether it’s the weather, an ‘Act of God” of other bumps in the road – that they will go ABOVE AND BEYOND what is required of them for their job; to make sure that everything goes seamlessly.

Last Saturday was one of those days – while in the hotel making sure our bride was getting her hair and make-up done and dressed to keep her on time – my car window was smashed in the parking garage and my emergency kit stolen from the car…

Fortunately, I have a fairly large “grab and go’ kit with me in my bag and Rebecca who was assisting me had her kit (part of having a great team and a backup plan for everything)…

But all and all it was the wonderful wedding professionals we were working with who helped keep everything moving seamlessly and on track…

I even had a call from a colleague who offered to drive into town and bring me her emergency kit…

Know on your wedding day that it does truly take a village….

What about your team?
