I've got three sisters.  In birth order I'm second born.  In height I'm the shortest.

I hate shopping, especially clothes shopping.  I kind of dislike spending money in general, but I think the main thing is that I get overwhelmed with choices and how best to use my money.

I love the outdoors and my family really enjoys hiking.  We camped in our backyard for the first time recently, and I hope that our family can expand to longer backpacking hikes and camp outs once the kids get a little older.

I love baking and making things from scratch whenever possible.  In recent years I've starting making my own bread, frosting for homemade cakes, canned strawberry jam, and more recently tortillas.  This Winter my goal is to start making and freezing my own vegetable or chicken stock.  Even though I could save time by buying certain items, I'll spend the time if it means it's homemade- I think there's a lot of value to that.

I never had braces…don't be jealous.

Much to my co-workers' disappointment I don't own a Smartphone or have texting capabilities…yet!  (There are some of us still out there!)

I'm about to experience the joys of childbirth for the third time!  My hubby and I have always waited until the birth of our children to find out the gender, too.

Autumn is my favorite season- pumpkins, football, colorful leaves, soup, cider, baking, hayrides…what's not to love?

I don't watch much television and no reality television at all.

I love museums!

I line dry my family's laundry to save energy and money.

I met my wonderful husband while we both were teaching at the same school.  I was a music teacher in my former life.

I watch the movie Gettysburg every year around the anniversary of the battle of Gettysburg in July.  I'm a sucker for the Civil War.
