I took a break from my diet and indulged in some Charity, charitable cake that is!

Hey, it was for a good cause (City of Hope)…how could I say no!

The 7th Annual Let Them Eat Cake completion was held on Monday April 11th at the Loews Hotel Philadelphia. I was honored to be part of this extraordinary event again this year, not only was I there representing The Queen of Hearts Wedding Consultants but also Wish Upon A Wedding Philadelphia!

This year Professional Pastry Chefs and Culinary Students had to create a wedding cake that fit into the theme of Historical Romances-Love in Any Age.

Before the doors were open to the public teams of judges were given the hard task of tasting and critiquing almost 40 entries!

You might recognize of some of the judges posing with Let Them Eat Cake co-founder, our very own Mark Kingsdorf!

After the judges made their way through all the cakes the doors were opened to the public. Hundreds of Brides-to-Be, Foodies, and Wedding Professionals alike flooded the Millennium Ballroom to get their hands and eyes on this year’s entries. This year there were many chocolate cakes and several cakes infused with fruit flavors; my favorite was a chocolate chip cookie cake…yum…I even got a second piece to go!

Throughout the event the guests were entertained by the delightful sounds of Brandywine Valley Talent’s very own Strangers while Majestic Images Photography and Janis Productions were there to capture each moment.

Once all the cakes were tasted and the to-go containers were full it was time to announce the winners!

Drum roll please….
