I don’t EVEN know where to begin talking about this beautiful 10.10.10 wedding…

This wonderful, fun, bright couple gives a brand new meaning to multicultural… you see Tanasha’s mom {Pat, who we’ll talk about later} is from Jamaica, her dad is from Trinidad and Ashley’s family is from Zimbabwe  – and they both have ancestors from Scotland!

Tanasha has an amazing sense of style, knew exactly what she wanted and we worked hand in hand with her mom, Pat – who is the 2nd Martha Stewart…we had the BEST time! We LOVE Pat, she was so much fun to work with!

Our own Christina Gargano Lupo, set the tone with a passport styled save the date with the flags of the United States, Jamaica, Trinidad and Zimbabwe…

The rest of the wedding continued to incorporate touches which reflected their personalities and cultures…and built with excitement along the way.

Christina helped them design a beautiful invitation to share just a glimpse of the elegant event to follow…and carried the design through details in the rest of the wedding.

The very traditional ceremony in Wilmington’s historic First and Central Presbyterian Church was appointed in white decor by Eventricity…

The first glimpse of interest was Tanasha’s surprise for Ashley – a bag piper as a nod to his Scottish heritage…

The cocktail reception in the Hotel DuPont’s DuBarry Ballroom was kept in the same palette,   and focused on great food and custom designed cocktails – each reflecting one of the four countries.

Then, as guests entered the hotel’s Gold Ballroom they were greeted by a blast of culture – stunning tables adorned in pops of bright colors, sparkle and touches of peacock feathers …each named for places around the world which hold a place in their hearts.

After a night of dinner and dancing, guests were treated to a traditional Caribbean Black Cake as a favor to take home {if it lasted that long, the dark rum was intoxicating as we arranged the treats}..

Tanasha and Ashley’s wedding was a beautiful multicultural wedding, filled with personalized details and great wedding professionals…we loved working with both of them and their families…

Thanks to Cliff Mautner for the beautiful images of their wedding!
