Christina Gargano-Lupo our team member who does all of our invitations and graphic design {she’s also an awesome planner!} …Was quoted this week in an online article in The Examiner.
In the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia, designer Christina Gargano Lupo of The Queen of Hearts Wedding Consultants has received a lot more requests for green wedding invitations than she did a few years ago. “Recently, I worked with a bride planning a green wedding, and she wanted to use tree stumps as the base for table numbers so she could re-use them later,” she said. Gargano Lupo uses 100 percent recycled draft paper and recycles used ink cartridges.
Because most major paper manufacturers have green divisions, Gargano Lupo works directly with them. She also tries to print as less as possible during the design process. “I create PDF files of my designs and email them. It is only until I have PDF approval that a hard copy is printed,” she explained. “Many brides are also opting to include an RSVP postcard in lieu of a card and envelope.”
