As crazy busy as this past week was I needed to find some time to sneak away to the Philadelphia Flower Show….
And I hope you did too….
Of course sneaking in there mid day between downtown appointments is torturous – the Red Hats were out in force as was every bus tour imaginable…
But I got to see the work of a number of amazing local floral designers we have the honor of working with on a fairy regular basis…
This year’s theme was Bella Italia – a beautiful Italian theme showcasing the art, architecture and design of many major Italian cities…
The entrance to ‘Rome’ was adorned with beautiful floral arrangements in HUGE urns by Valley Forge Flowers (Kirah and Kyle’s wedding)….
South Jersey phenom Michael Bruce (Bethany and Garett’s wedding) did a very unique contemporary maze like display utilizing Plexiglas partitions and flowers in water tubes.
Our friends at Robertson’s (Rebecca and Dan’s as well as Samantha and Gerren’s weddings) presented a domed cathedral with feast table and beautiful gardens…..
Donna O’Brien’s of Beautiful Blooms (Liz and Tyke’s wedding) presented a beautiful golden sunrise colored display
Also featured at this year’s show were local designers Jaime Rothstein and Celebration’s Design Group
Congratulations you all did an amazing job!
I’m really excited to see, as predicted 2009 is showcasing many shades of gold blended with beautiful wine tones or merlot and burgundy….
