After leaving the National Constitution Center I went to meet a client at thePark Hyatt at the Bellevue

The Bellevue was sponsoring a bridal showcase with specialty events for the guys at JL Sullivan’s and the Palm Restaurant along with amazing food and wedding professionals on the 19th floor…

Coming out of the parking garage I turn to hold the door for the man coming in behind me…

Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell… I was amazed at how down to earth and friendly he was…I had a nice conversation with him.

After arriving up on the 19th floor I met up with a client whose wedding is being held at the Park Hyatt later this year… I spent some time with them expecting to do a quick once through and head out…

I met a second client and then some old friends participating in the show… Tim Sudall of Video One Productions, Susan Beard {and staff} of Susan Beard Design, all the folks from Classic Cake Company, Truli Confectionary Arts,  Ann’s Cake Pan  and Evantine Designs.

It was like ‘old home week’ – I’d forgotten how great it is to work in Philly.

Carrie Denny – editor of Philadelphia Weddings was there signing her new book ‘The Bride’s Instruction Manual: How to Survive and Possibly Even Enjoy the Biggest Day of Your Life’ –

Carrie is an old friend and it’s great to see her doing so well…

The plan was to head out – I was torn – I wanted to see the new designs from Nicole Miller but also knew I had a long weekend of meetings and bridal shows…

Seems I had a reserved seat in the front row for the show…. I take my seat next to producers from several local television stations and in walk Nicole Miller and Mayor Michael Nutter…three seats over!

Nicole’s bridal and bridesmaid’s fashions were beautiful – and EBE Talent’s band Paris really rocked the house!

I’m really glad I stayed!
