This AP photo shows yesterday’s Philadelphia Phillies World Series Championship Parade – looking north on Broad Street toward City Hall….

The city was PACKED!

I, however – was working- and still got to be park of the crowd…

The rehearsal for Brenda and Stephen’s wedding today was yesterday at one in the afternoon…at The Church of the Holy Trinity on Rittenhouse Square (19th and Walnut).

That would be one block south and three blocks east of the start of the parade…

At the time moving the evening rehearsal to one seemed like a great idea… get everyone in town and off the road before the goblins took over the streets after dark…

NEVER did we think they’d be taken over with a sea of red….

Any other day my red shirts stand out in a crowed – not yesterday.

I parked at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital – crossed 76 and the river, walking 14 blocks each way through a sea of Phillies Phans…

While I never got the see the Phillies- I did get to be part of the celebration…

Could have been worse… the parade could have been today!
