This week the Society of Wedding Planners hosted it’s monthly meeting and “Whose Table Is It Anyway?”

In addition to great networking, fantastic food provided by the Villanova Conference Center (my first time there- not what I expected- it’s a beautifully landscaped old Montrose Mansion – PERFECT for an intimate wedding!) and entertainment by Janis Nowlan Band

A dozen of the areas brightest and best wedding and event designers, and decorators competed in a table top design competition…

The Queen of Hearts team went for a Recycle, Reuse and Renew Fall Wedding theme…

Our chic, earth-friendly design included natural fiber linens, recycled-green glass vases and candle holders, soy candles, fruit and flowers and plants from local growers (and my yard!), locally baked artisan breads, and organic wine all ‘framed’ on a 100 year old window frame..

We also featured our great stationery designer Christina with menus ( featuring a dinner of locally produced foods), hanging place cards, table numbers and signage – all made of handmade, non tree paper.

Thanks to our partners at Party Rental LTD for the chairs, place settings and glassware!

A special thanks to Kirk Hoffman for covering this event and sharing all his great images!

We had a blast!
