Once upon a time…

Many years ago (3), in a far away place (New York City), two wedding planners (moi, and my crazy friend Sarah of Bam and Missy's Unholy Union fame) traveled to a wedding event…

Early one morning (5AM)… while the two wandered out looking for coffee and a nosh (a light snack for the goy-isha readers)…

OK so truth be told, we found coffee in Grand Central Station, sat on the steps to look around and drink our coffee and got thrown out of Grand Central Station by the police for loitering. (Only funny if you know Sarah and the fact that even at 5 AM wearing sweats and clogs she had on enough jewelry to pay both cops salaries for the year…)

So we wandered out… hailed a taxi and told the older Russian man we wanted to go anyplace in New York where we could get really good bagels, white fish and chopped liver…

Ess-a Bagel – on the lower east side was out destination…

Several bagels( the really huge ones with almost no hole and enough poppies to make you fail a drug test), ¼ pound of whitefish, some chopped liver, several flavors of cream cheese  and some fresh coffee later… we were off to the bridal show…

YUMMMMMMMMMMM!

So now every time Sarah heads into NYC I get Ess-a Bagel –

So this year for Christmas Sarah decides to ship Chuck and I a dozen bagels, white fish salad, chopped liver and lox…

Waiting for this package from NY and I'm drooling… really jonesin'

So Sarah calls to see if I got the package…
NO!

Seems somewhere in the translation the shipping address left out a number and they couldn't deliver it…

So last night at 6 PM … I'm schlepping to Fed EX to pick up this perishable package…

Packed in cooler packs, and several yards of plastic film were the best Christmas Bagels a wedding planner could ever ask for…

This morning whitefish on a toasted poppy… tomorrow who knows?

Thanks Sarah, Thanks Ess-a Bagel!
