Well, ya… I guess that refers to me as a wedding consultant too…
I actually meant – Mark's Monster Chocolate Chip Cookies!
LOL, sorry…
Somewhere years ago I inherited this really great chocolate chip recipe…
I like it because they are more "biscuit-y" than the hard kind or the thin chewy kind…they work really well when you're looking to make those softball sized cookies but also are great bite sized for holiday treats…
Best part!
The base is quick and easy…and from there you can add in anything you want….chocolate chips with walnuts are my favorite…
Chuck likes them with out the nuts… but I've also added in white chocolate chips / macadamia nuts, oatmeal / raisins, trail mix, or chunky peanut butter they all make GREAT cookies…
Enjoy!
1 pound Butter (melted)
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 ½ cups Brownulated Brown Sugar
(Domino; I think it's what keeps them from getting hard)
1 ½ cups White Sugar
4 Eggs
5 cups Flour
2 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Baking soda
24 ounces Chocolate Chips
Mix together melted butter, sugars, and vanilla
Add eggs
Add flour, salt and baking soda
Mix well… it will become very stiff
Mix in chocolate chips (or other fun ingredients!)
Bake on non stick baking pan – middle shelf – 375 degrees about 15-18 minutes…
I like to keep them just on the under baked, slightly lighter side so the firm up as they cool!
Have fun, they're really yummy!
