But could someone PLEASE explain this to me like I'm a three year old…
What is the attraction for brides to the gowns that wedding gown designers are showing on size 0 models, with heroine chic make up, and looking like they are having the most miserable day of their life?
I'm probably going to be blackballed by every gown designer in the country…
I caught a clip from a well known fashion designers NY showing of their new wedding gown designs –
The Gowns ARE Stunning…
But every model looked like they were a size 0 – they all trudged down the runway with their shoulders hunched over, and made up to look like they were going to the electric chair and not to meet the man of their dreams.
THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE ANY OF MY BRIDES!
(OK ladies here's where the guy in me walks a very fine line…)
I have my share of size 0 and size 2 brides…nothing wrong with that except that none of the gowns these designers show in size 0 are ever average local bridal salon..
Most of my brides are average size 8-12 or 14…
What do average women, planning for the happiest day of your life, shopping for a gown which flatters you think of these really UNHAPPY looking runway models?
Wouldn't a runway show of size 12 brides, looking fresh, excited and happy about their life be a better marketing tool?
Maybe it's the guy in me….but explain it to me like I'm a three year old.
*NOTE: I was smart not to list any said designers by name or use any photos in this post…
Designers please send your nasty emails to: [email protected]
(Complete silence, crickets chirping in distance as Mark steps off soap box)
