I get this question all the time…..

It’s a fair question, brides and groom whether spending their own money or mom’s and dad’s are spending HUGE amounts of money planning a wedding…

With the reported average spent on a Philadelphia wedding or even south Jersey or Delaware Wedding – you could buy a new car…

Some people are spending enough for a really nice down payment on a house!

So with that said, people looking at investing money (note: I didn’t say spending money) on a wedding consultant what to know what their return on investment will be.

My answer is: How much is your free time worth? That’s always a good starting point. Take your annual salary, and that of your fiancé calculate your hourly rate…

The average couple spends about 250 hours planning their wedding – ok truth be told the guys might be involved in about half of that…

So take the bride-to-be’s hourly rate times 250 – and the groom-to-be’s rate times 125….

A national survey of average starting salaries for 12 job positions with BS degree requirements gave us an average hourly rate of $22.65 an hour….

Using that number – the investment in planning for the average couple over the 9-12 months planning a wedding is $8403.75 +

OK, ok so truth be told… it your wedding and you have to be involved so I can’t REALLY make that entire number disappear…

But figuring that I can easily cut the time spent planning in HALF – let’s say realistically working with me – can give you 125 extra hours in a year to spend with your fiancé, family, and friends…

I think that’s a pretty good start in an investment…

Let’s add on gasoline – $3.00 + a gallon…. How many appointments have you driven to only to find out whatever it is you were looking at wasn’t to your taste or budget?

Working with a wedding consultant can help you focus your energy by assisting you in making appointments with wedding professionals who match your needs, personality and budget…

Additionally because we “live” weddings we can help you pick focal points that will not only be personalized and a reflection of you, but make a memorable impact on your guests.

Working with wedding professionals on a regular basis often has purchasing power –

Wedding professionals often see repeat referrals for wedding consultant who like their work and the way they deal with clients…. This often translates into savings for clients…

You don’t get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate! –

This is one of my favorite lines… couple deal with weddings as an emotional purchase – wedding consultants negotiate contracts as a business.

Skillfully negotiating a contract can save a client a few percent… 2, 3, or 4 percent of an average wedding it sometimes a large savings….

Keep going?… How much is it worth to have someone as a mediator with your fiancé or your mom and dad for those sticky family issues?

That neutral third party to help find a middle ground when mom and dad want red meat and most of your friends are vegetarian?

And lastly – as much fun as you might have doing the day in and day out ‘stuff’ it takes to plan your wedding… what is it worth to have a ‘go to’ person the day of your wedding…

Someone other than the woman in the white dress – who BTW is an easy target when you need an answer…

Someone who will help orchestrate the day and allow you to have fun at your own wedding…
OK let’s recap –
