Â
It was really refreshing sitting in a meeting with clients at The Down Town Club and having their catering sales coordinator – Mary White assure my clients that beer is poured into glasses and not served in bottles…
Â
This is one of many reasons why I love working there….
Â
But it brings me to a great point…I recently saw a wedding video – beautiful, romantic, really captured the day…something the bride and groom will look back on fondly in 20 or so years ….
Â
EXCEPT – for the three or four shots of the bride dancing at her reception –WITH A BEER BOTTLE IN HER HAND!
Â
You’re all dressed up, everyone is snapping photos of you – you look amazing in a very expensive gown and here you are with a PBR. (Ok just kidding it was an import – BUT STILL!)
Â
Ladies – for one day, four hours… please, please, please use a glass…
Â
The second part of this is GUM… I carry a ton of mints – the really cool kind the little mint sheets that dissolve when they hit your tongue… I have them available all day for all of the bridal party and family…
Â
So I’m coordinating a wedding and the guys go to the back of the sacristy and process out with the officiant…and I look up front and see one of the groomsmen CHOMPING ON GUM….
Â
I know it’s a nervous habit, and I know fresh breath is really important…especially to all the single groomsmen looking at all the single ladies as prospective dates…
Â
But it really looks like he!! in the photos….
Â
Trust me – the mints work…
