AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Â
Ok, now I feel much better….
Â
As you will see over the next few weeks, there will be major changes to my website…
Â
One will be to change all references to vendors to read wedding professionals.
Â
This has become a major point of contention with my industry partners…
Â
I introduce my clients to industry partners, wedding professionals – not to vending machines, not to people who are just selling stuff….
Â
My job is to find the best industry professionals in their craft who will offer my clients the best quality products and services at the best price… so yes, they sell.
Â
But my hope is that they will also educate and inform both myself and my clients… offering them options for their wedding day….
Â
And while indeed my job is to assist each couple with design, and to orchestrate the day working with each of these industry partners…
Â
I have to rely on their professional knowledge about their craft…
Â
I for example…am not a photographer; I don’t even play one on TV, to be totally truthful I rarely get to use our camera on vacation because my pictures are that bad…
Â
But I do know enough of the behind the scenes of wedding photography to guide my clients in decisions that best fit their needs….and to direct them to people who will match their personality, budget and style likes…who will educate them…and work with both the couple and me…
Â
As far as I know …I can’t buy bouquets, wedding albums or bands shrink wrapped by dropping some money into a machine an pulling a knob…
Â
It works for soda…
Â
Not for weddings….
